Rethinking Anti-Racism

Just finished "Rethinking Anti-Racism", the wonderful two day workshop co-hosted by the DC chapters of Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ-DC) and Black Lives Matter (BLM-DC). Im exceptionally grateful for the teaching of tools and sharing of experiences that I will be incorporating into my own facilitating, writing, and advocacy work. This workshop applied a proven process that aids dialogue about race and provides tools to incite solidarity and liberation for everyone. Follow my journey, or if you want to experience this event first hand, the next one in DC is being offered March 24-25.

I realize some of the people who know me may have serious questions or concerns about this work I am super proud of. Im always happy to listen, answer, and/or share if you think it will help you find peace during your personal journey in this movement we are going through together. Just ask or say whats on your mind, and youll get an honest, non-threatening reply. I continue to be an ardent advocate for the safety of my police friends, and a big sponsor of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). I also plan to attend the conference hosted by www.wearebluehelp.org when it comes to Maryland later this year. Hope to see you there!
