Cupid's Sting has Launched!

Was pleased to support Dr. L.J. Samuel and team yesterday evening on the launch of Cupid's Sting a DC-based non-profit interpersonal violence reduction program teaching people tools to reduce victimization inside and outside the home. The launch was emceed by USA9's Debra Alfarone and featured some strong women who shared their very personal stories of violence against women, including musician Emma G, who performed her single "SOLD, (Take A Shot)". The stories reminded me of my work as a medic, and some of the patients I treated, who were victims of abuse. It also had me thinking about moments in my past and current relationships. The entire event had me thinking about what I can do better both in my relationships, and also in my interactions with other males, especially when it comes to encouraging healthier behavior towards women.
