So Much Has Happened!

Sexual Assault Awareness Month is winding down, and its been full of emotional events, including Denim Day on April 25th, when Metro Police Department hosted several powerful spoken word artists and musicians for their annual EmbraceYourVoice event highlighting the services available for the victors over sexual assault. Though their stories of rape are profound, I am uplifted by these artists, and see hope and love in their firm commitment to use their voices to help others, and prevent others from such struggle.

I have been supporting another group using their voices for good, the Capitol Groove Collective, led by Emma G. They played Rock & Roll Hotel on the 25th also, and are hosting their grand launch on May 11, and have agreed to allow me to speak about my book as a soft release at the event. It's going to be a special occasion. Press is invited.

Mostly though, Ive been clawing my way through the incredible study materials provided to me by the Author Incubator, on how to start a movement by writing a book that matters. This program is not only elevating my book but also assisting me in the publishing process, as a new author. So exciting times right now. Stay subscribed and lets see what May come next month!
