IT'S HERE: MARK'S LIST!!
A Mark's List is born!
Come, behold it at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1J1qEOiCJpihIxSYGOwrVjgiM3bY7cB3A/view?usp=sharing!
It could use some frankincense, myrrh, gold, and other gifts from all over the world, so please email any related input you might have to markslistinput@gmail.com.
In the past 12 days til Mark's Listmas, I have been sharing sneak peaks. Check em out below:
12. Happy Friday the 13th and a merry start of my countdown of the 12 days til Mark’s List(tm)! What’s that you ask? Oh it’s just a report detailing my evaluation of major corporations, charities, US officials, US gov’t, and world governments. Brrr, it’s about to get cold!
11. 11 days til Mark’s List! Coming soon is a comprehensive compilation of data and analysis showing to what degree america is or isn’t great, and what we the people should do about it. It’s time for light to expose those private interests that keep us in the dark. #solinvictus
10. TEN days til Mark’s List!!! Major corporations and charities are evaluated using ISO 9000 (quality management) and ISO 26000 (social responsibility) metrics, which place specific emphasis on employee and customer satisfaction - basically the freedom of people, like you and me. Few score well, as you might have guessed, and I show how.
9. NINE days til Mark’s List!!! Nations are evaluated mostly using the major global indices few of us have heard of, while gov’t officials are evaluated according to a scorecard I published to aid voters in Election 2016, when TheRump was scored at an abysmal 46% qualified. Few paid any mind to my warnings then. How about now?
8. EIGHT days til Mark’s List!!! Let’s open a present early and reveal the summary of our rating of the US gov’t, shall we?! “We have no evidence that any agency is using highly developed data stewardship in decision making, let alone operating by controlled processes, meaning our federal government is at best operating at level 3 maturity (out of 5). After incorporating data from employees, customers, inspectors, and investigators, all government functions earns a D minus, with the exception of space exploration and arts and humanities, which are each graded at a B minus. Education and elections services are each graded at an E minus.” USA! USA! USA! Santa, bring us some sense please so we can move forward!
7. SEVEN days til Mark’s List!!! I was snarky in yesterday’s sneak peak, yet after a day of several big blessings, Im ready to share today’s sneak peak more delicately. It’s my assessment of each world government along major Social Progress, Global Competitiveness, and World Governance Indicators. “Of the 28 developed countries evaluated, six (Australia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain) earn a grade of D, and the rest get an E, mostly due to extremely low scores in healthcare efficiency. The remaining countries are less developed and fare even worse. The USA is extremely low in healthcare efficiency, okay in three indexes, good in three, and extremely good in none.” Sit for a moment with the evidence-based assessment of the world we live in. Shame on the major religions guiding our hearts and minds toward this result. As we move to eliminate religious tax exemptions, humanitarian efforts that dont require religious obedience will need to be boosted, but this approach will be better than what we have now.
6. Six SiX SIX days til Mark’s List!!! Heres a peak at our report on charities, and TheRump’s isn’t the only crummy one you should be avoiding. “Of the 20 largest charities, The Task Force for Global Health, Inc earned a B minus, while three (the YMCA, Direct Relief, and AmeriCares) earned a C minus. The rest get a D minus. None are properly accredited and there is an especially disturbing lack of transparency in religious organizations, which are not required to file IRS 990's. This is a threat to democratically checked capitalism, an afront to our virtue of separation of state from church, and a sad problem in that it exploits people's sense of charity and community.” We are strong when we rise together, armed with data. And love, not self-interest.
5. FIVE days til Mark’s List!!!!! Was going to give an update on our evaluation of major corporations, but to be honest, it’s not ready to summarize. How about you just google search this week’s news that 91 fortune 500 companies paid $0 in taxes last year. Yes $0, as in not even as much as you just gave the bell ringer outside Walmart. 🎅🏽❄️
4. FOUR days til Mark’s List!!!! Of elected officials assessed so far, none earn even a grade of B, including our current president who scored at just 46% qualified back in 2016 before his countless atrocities as president. Anti-freedom actions are evident from 4 of 9 current justices, 58 of 100 current senators, 208 of 435 representatives, 10 of 50 governors, our president, and vice president. In coming months, we will do more comprehensive research on remaining governors, presidential candidates, cabinet members, congress, and justices. We also need to consider better ways to identify signs of nepotism and the ‘revolving door’ that keeps corruption employed. This is what jesus would do.
3. THREE days til Mark’s List!!! When I think about who is to blame, woops I mean who is responsible for correcting systemic, endemic, and persistent problems, I feel we have to look at the big five consulting firms and the plethora of think tanks. I’ve worked with several of these companies, even sub-contracting work to them. The workers are great, but the people at the top seem to prefer to maintain symbiotic relationships with those who profit off problems. These types are an incestual group of well-connected plutocrats that rotate between consulting firms, think tanks, congressional offices, lobbying groups, and sometimes government. DC isnt a swamp, it’s a blue sky in which there is a flock of vultures among many beautiful birds. We must inject transparency and accountability into this system if we are to overcome widespread congressional misfeasance and malfeasance. That’s what jesus would do.
2. Just TWO days til Mark’s List, and the second group responsible for not properly injecting transparency and accountability into the economic-power system, is the media. Nevermind those spreading misinformation, major news networks do not keep our attention on the major issues. They pat themselves on the back for another day of wholesome news reporting, and forget it all as they prepare to do it all again the next day, allowing us to forget it too and thereby miss the deeper analysis. Plus, they are all privately owned, even NPR and PBS, so of course they all avoid telling us the truth about our economic enslavement to the ultra-rich, and instead drown us with ads so we keep spending money and boosting the suck market in which fewer and fewer of us even have anything to gamble. And anyway, they all get a D- in their ISO 9000 and ISO 26000 evaluation, which is maybe why they’ve never given us an instrument like Mark’s List. Have hope though! The winter solstice yesterday signifies that our days are starting to have more light. Every turn of the Earth, you and I are absorbing the light of knowledge into our bodies. Perhaps we are even on the eve of a rebirth or something like that.
1.ONE day til Mark’s List! It’s very much a working doc and still rough in places. We have many shortcomings to overcome, but the biggest we face is a struggle of people to do their part to elect officials who know what’s right and do what’s right, and to provide data to help us all keep those in power properly checked. Truth be told, we the people are the ultimate group responsible for not ensuring transparency and accountability of those in power. So, if we want a better country, we must ask ourselves if we are truly doing our civic duty. So, are you? Are you mindful of the social responsibility of the companies that get your hard-earned dollar? How about the organizations you work for? Do you submit reviews to BBB, Google, Glassdoor, and Indeed? Do you follow your federal, state, and local officials on social media or via their mailing lists? Do you write them about important issues and attend community events they should be at? Do you vote? These are the only ways we the people are going to remind those in power who really holds the power. As my good friend Tiny Tim always used to say, GOD bless us, everyone!
0. IT’S HERE: MARK’S LIST! Or the first release of it anyway, after more than two years since the inspiration arose like a clatter. *Link in bio* I dedicate Mark’s List to all the social justice warriors of the past, present, and future (after all, the name Mark does mean warrior). Henceforth, I will work to update and improve it to be the best instrument of democracy it can be. I encourage everyone to help, by sending your own credible data, defended clearly please, to markslistinput@gmail.com. Also don’t forget sharing is caring, so spread the word! A caution: with this resource, we have clear data driven analysis that disproves the Just-World Hypothesis we’ve all been brainwashed into believing. I know it sucks to wake to what in my book I call privilege addiction, but know that I worked through it and you can too. Please remember I’m not someone who chose for us to learn the hard way, only someone trying to help us learn and prosper. Happy Sol Invinctus everyone! Truth Is Good, All The Time!
