Protest Beard... Bye... Done!

Hi folks, it’s Mark again.

Ya’ll didn’t like 2020 much did ya? Quite frankly, I just found it to be a continuation of the pain of the prior three. In 2020, I would try to escape this world by diving into movies and many books, finishing 57 last year – none giving me the relief I sought from the trauma that has been the past four years. And I did some more stuff in 2020:

  • I created my set of 25 “Citizen Papers” contained my most crucial messages;

  • I worked on living with more grace and better contribution to my local community, even providing leadership in the area of emergency mass care operations;

  • I spent time learning about intentional communities as the “GameB” alternative to (and rejection of) mainstream living; and

  • I re-released my book “Elevating Civil Service,” with an epilogue and a few other improvements.

In 2021 and on, we must become more vigilant. And I am better prepared to, as I enter phase 5 of Who Is Mark Denome, Inc., which involves 1) converting my Citizen Papers into three Toolkit Talks, 2) soliciting support from strategic investors and collaborators, and 3) converting Mark’s List™ into an online government accountability database to elevate Mark’s List™ to what I know it can be, an effective cattle prod to keep our elected officials and organizations accountable to us. I also plan to stay on a journey of uncovering my true self, which means getting back to a happy demeanor, with intention, starting with a shave and renewed pride in my appearance. Here is latest message I have for you: those of you who gained wealth in the past four years have a debt to society. All the economic growth you thrived on the past four years was blood money, derived from the bombings of Yemeni women and children, the illnesses of uninsured americans, the deaths of people’s parents, grandmas, and grandpas from COVID, and the accelerating death of our Earth. You all expect political courage from politicians, when you yourself have been too self-interested, spineless, and weak when it mattered most. Confucius likely said it first, “In a country well governed, poverty is something to be ashamed of. In a country badly governed, wealth is something to be ashamed of.”

I have to tell you though: I do forgive you. Sure, it took you way too long to see what was happening, yet I also realize it is the hidden rulers who are to really blame for keeping us so deep in the dark. Just please learn from this, and help our kids learn from this, and their kids, so we can hope to do better in the next day and age. Much love folks, and have a lovely year.

Mark
